چکیده
Detecting forest degradation from satellite observation data is of great significance in revealing the process decreasing quality and giving a better understanding regional or global carbon emissions their feedbacks with climate changes. In this paper, quick applicable approach was developed for monitoring Three-North Forest Shelterbelt China multi-scale remote sensing data. Firstly, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Enhanced (EVI), Ratio (RVI), Leaf Area (LAI), Fraction Photosynthetically Active Radiation (FPAR) Net Primary Production (NPP) were selected as indicators to describe degradation. Then maps obtained by adopting new classification method using time series MODerate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Landsat Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) images, validated ground survey At last, criteria discussed, uncertainly analyzed. Results paper indicated that have potential detecting

Effects of developmental level on forest area changes of rural areas in Arasbaran by satellite images
Livelihood of rural people depends on the use of land and the exploitation of natural resources and forest. Therefore, their activities can have significant effects on these resources. The magnitude of these effects and changes in the level of the forest are affected by the development level of the villages. The main objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between the develop...
متن کاملDetecting the effects of hydrocarbon pollution in the Amazon forest using hyperspectral satellite images.
The global demand for fossil energy is triggering oil exploration and production projects in remote areas of the world. During the last few decades hydrocarbon production has caused pollution in the Amazon forest inflicting considerable environmental impact. Until now it is not clear how hydrocarbon pollution affects the health of the tropical forest flora. During a field campaign in polluted a...
متن کاملModeling the Potential of the Northern China Forest Shelterbelt in Improving Hydroclimate Conditions
The forest shelterbelt (afforestation) project in northern China is the most significant ecosystem project initiated in China during the past three decades. It aims to improve and conserve the ecological environment in the project areas. The tree belt stands along the southern edge of the sandy lands, nearly paralleling to the Great Wall. This study used a regional climate model to simulate the...
متن کاملThe Study of Mazandaran Province Forest and Rangeland Vegetation Changes Trend by Satellite Images
Vegetation in any landscape reflects its health condition. Monitoring land use change and land cover plays a key role in environmental planning and management. Mazandaran province has always been considered by tourists due to its high tourism potential and consequently the vegetation, especially the forest, has been damaged. In this study, vegetation Contiguity and integrity in Mazandaran using...
